It's just as important that men put effort into their appearance as anyone else! Read the following guide to get an idea of what will make you look best in your photos.

1. The best fit

You could own a $2,000 Versace suit, but if it doesn’t fit you well, your $50 polo might look better. Making sure that your close fit you well can make you look stronger and is just more flattering to your body overall. So whether you need to get something tailored or have been putting off going shopping since you’ve lost or gained weight, now would be the time.

2. Complimentary colors

If you are accompanied by a lady friend or a male counterpart, it’s important that you coordinate your colors and style with them. This isn’t prom, so you don’t need a red suit to match a dress or shirt, but wear colors that compliment each other instead of being too matchy or too random. Also, let’s say you’re taking photos with a woman and she’s in a full length dress with beautiful hair and makeup- don’t wear jeans. Match the style too or it could put a damper on the look and feel of the photos.

3. Well groomed

Hair cut? Check. Facial hair? Check. Remembering grooming techniques is just as important for the men as it is for everyone else. You want to look and feel your best, not skim through the photos regretting that you didn’t take a couple extra minutes to clean up your hair.

4. Details, details, details

Maybe bling isn’t really your thing, but the details of your outfit can really bring it to another level. If you have accessories like an earring or a watch, that could be a really nice small touch for your photo. Maybe even (weather permitting) layering a sweater or a cardigan on top of a collared shirt.

Whatever you choose to end up wearing, it’s just important for you to look and feel great as it is for the ladies. This can be your moment too to show off all of the hard work you’ve been putting in at the gym or how great your style has developed since college.
